NHLANGANO – Coach Mandla Qhogi of Nsingizini Hotspurs has stated that players are not only competing for success in the Eswatini league, but are also using the platform to market themselves beyond the country’s borders.
Qhogi said the squad understands that strong performances in domestic competitions create opportunities for players to be noticed outside Eswatini football and potentially attract interest beyond the country.
“Players are not only playing for success in the Eswatini league, but also using the platform to market themselves beyond the country’s borders,” he said.
He added that the team remains fully focused on winning every match they come across, while also ensuring players continue to grow, improve and develop their football careers in a competitive environment.
Qhogi further explained that high-profile fixtures such as the Shiselweni Derby against Rangers FC provide an important stage for players to test themselves under pressure and showcase their abilities in front of strong regional support.
The coach also praised supporters for their continued backing throughout the season, saying fans play a vital role in motivating the squad and pushing them to deliver positive results in every match.
Meanwhile, football promoter and supporter Pro Mnotfo Dlamini has urged fans across Shiselweni to turn up in large numbers for the derby at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium.
“Yithi abantu besigodzi esinamandla,” said Dlamini, encouraging supporters to rally behind both Nsingizini Hotspurs and Rangers FC in what he described as one of the biggest regional fixtures.
He said the rivalry reflects the growing standard of football in Shiselweni and called on “Bolova and Bolavakazi, Imgugudla nemigugudlakazi” to come in numbers and support their respective teams.
The derby is expected to attract a strong turnout, with supporters paying an entrance fee of E50 at the gates. The match is widely seen as one of the most important encounters in the regional football calendar, with bragging rights and pride at stake.
