IMBUBE MARATHON 10KM RACE SOLD OUT

MBABANE – Runners who want to be part of the Imbube Marathon must now think of running in the 42.2km, 21.1km and 3km.

This comes after the Imbube Marathon organisers announced that the 10km race has been sold out reaching the targeted 2 200 runners. The Imbube Marathon hosted by the Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) is set for October 6, 2024, starting and finishing at Somhlolo National Stadium, Lobamba.

“The 10km Imbube Marathon race is now SOLD OUT. There are limited spaces still available for the 21km and 42km races. Grab your spot now, before it’s too late,” reads a statement from the organisers.

The targeted runners for the Imbube Marathon in all the four events (42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 3km) is 6 000 athletes.

The Imbube Marathon registration is now on the second phase. Majority of the athletes got an opportunity to register during the KwaMagogo Run/ Walk that was held on Saturday in Manzini. Manual registration for the Imbube Marathon was open during the event and runners capitalised and used the opportunity.

Runners now pay E315 for the 42.2km, E285 for the 21.1km and it was E260 for the 10km. Registration for the 3km is free and it target is the elders, kids and people living with disability as the event caters for all people.

The second phase of registration closes on August 23 and from there, runners will have to add E100 on the registration fee.
