MANZINI– The countdown to the Eswatini Farmers Market has entered its final stretch, with five days left before the lifestyle event returns to Malkerns Country Club for its fifth edition.
This year’s market comes with a history of its own. Launched in 2022, the event has grown from a platform connecting local businesses and consumers into a wider lifestyle gathering bringing together food, fashion, culture, entertainment and entrepreneurship.
Now, as the October 10 date approaches, much of the attention is on the music programme and the South African acts joining the local line-up. Zee Nxumalo was the first headline act announced for this year’s edition. The Eswatini-born South African singer was revealed in July, marking her return to perform for an Eswatini audience.
She will be joined by South African house heavyweight Oscar Mbo, whose addition brought another established name from the regional house scene to the programme. JNR SA, an Afro House artist who has been linked with Kabza De Small’s label, was also announced as one of the headline acts.
The international line-up has since expanded, with South African DJ and producer Argento Dust also confirmed, while Royal Musiq was added in September following the withdrawal of previously announced duo Jazzwrld and Thukuthela.
The regional acts will share the programme with Eswatini performers including DJ Cup, Sibu Manzini, Drum Rhythm, Rekorder, Obsession, Ayacity, Sgitha and Bandora, among others. The 2026 edition’s theme and dresscode being “look like a cow boy”, continuing the event’s combination of music, food, lifestyle and local enterprise.
With only five days remaining, Farmers Market has reached the point where the posters and announcements give way to the actual gathering and this year, the sound of the market will stretch beyond Eswatini’s borders.
