JAMES PENNINGTON IN E2 MILLION KIT KAT CASH AND CARRY PRE-QUALIFIRES

 MBABANE – Local professional golfer James Pennington is among the 40 players to play for a spot in the E2 million sponsored Kit Kat Cash & Carry Pro-Am.

The qualifying tournament will be played over one round on Tuesday at the Irene Country Club, South Africa. Pennington have already entered for the qualifying tournament, according to the sunshinetour.com.

There are only 10 players who will qualify for the main tournament with Pennington among the hopefuls. Some of the players who have entered for the qualifying tournament come from countries including South Africa, Chile, France, Greece, Ireland, United States of America (USA) and Uganda among others.

Meanwhile, the main tournament, Kit Kat Cash & Carry Pro-Am will be played at the Irene Country Club from Thursday to Sunday (May 15th – 18th, 2025) over four rounds. The defending champion of the tournament is Kieran Vincent.

According to the sunshinetour.com, the Irene Country Club is situated in the lush and serene suburb of Irene; the club has a lot to offer. Originally established as a golf club in 1911, the Irene Country Club has since expanded to include a range of other sporting activities. This includes; tennis, cricket, bowls, and squash (in addition to golf, of course).

The club includes an 18-hole golf course, a cricket pitch, 2 bowling greens, 6 tennis courts (4 of which are floodlit), 2 squash courts, and a driving range.
