LOZITHA – His Majesty King Mswati III has called upon God to bless Eswatini, its citizens, and everyone residing within its borders.
Speaking at the Year Opening Prayer Service on Saturday, the King highlighted the significance of humility before God as the foundation of wisdom and a guiding principle for national prosperity.

“I am happy that we are all here to worship God and humble ourselves before Him. What also makes us happy is that we are joined by people from beyond our borders,” His Majesty stated, emphasizing the inclusivity of the gathering and the importance of shared spirituality among nations.

The King called on the nation to place its trust in God, asserting that prosperity could only be achieved by aligning with His plans.
“May God prosper Eswatini, all Eswatini families, and everyone. The only way we can prosper as a country is to understand what God expects from us,” he said. His Majesty cautioned against trying to navigate life without divine guidance, stating, “Without God’s lead, we’re blind. Without His instruction, we’re incompetent. Without His integrity, we’re incapable.”

In his address, King Mswati III drew a powerful parallel from the Bible, referencing the story of Joshua succeeding Moses in Joshua 1:9. He reflected on the responsibility God entrusted to Joshua after Moses’ passing, emphasizing the importance of steadfast faith and leadership. “As we all know, one day we will pass on. It is wise to connect our lives with God,” His Majesty said, urging the nation to prepare for the future by rooting their lives in spirituality.

The King likened the Israelites’ struggles after Moses died to the challenges that arise when nations stray from God’s path. “God does not make mistakes. He knew He had good plans for the Israelites, even when they faced loss,” he said.

Concluding his sermon, His Majesty urged Emaswati to trust in God during both good and challenging times, reinforcing the message that unwavering faith is essential for both individual and national growth.

This prayer service underscores the King’s vision of a spiritually grounded Eswatini, united under God’s blessings and thriving through divine guidance.
