MBABANE – Renowned fitness instructor aka king of squats and former Umbelebele and Manzini Wanderers striker Nkululeko Dlamini will be in the country on December 31 to lead Shukuma activation.
Shukuma is the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) mass participation flagship programme.
The ESRC has partnered with the Philani Maswati Charity organisation to deliver Shukuma on New Year’s Eve. Dlamini will be the main guest on the day. The event will be staged at the Prince of Wales in the capital city.
ESRC Media Officer Dumisani Ntiwane said the King of Squats, who is based in South Africa has agreed to come and lead Shukuma.
“This will be a very special day for our people as our organisation has partnered with Philani Maswati Charity organisation to deliver a New Year’s Eve special.
“I can safely confirm that after a fruitful meeting between ourselves and Nkululeko, which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa on Wednesday night, Dlamini was more than happy to return to the country where he made his name in football,” he said.
The event will start in the morning and will last for the duration of the night as well because there will be a gospel show starting in the evening.
“All is now set for a crossover never seen before. We want our people to cross over to the New Year in good physical condition. This is what we do. This is what we encourage, “ Ntiwane said
In a video from Dlamini, he confimrd that he will be in the country for a performance and he invited EmaSwati to come in their numbers.
