MATSAMO – His Majesty King Mswati III has encouraged residents from Matsamo area to establish small income-generating businesses to complement the activities of the Matsamo Tourism Park.
Speaking today during his visit to the park, the King emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in creating employment opportunities for the youth in the area. He highlighted that small businesses could play a vital role in maximizing the benefits brought by the new tourism infrastructure.
The Matsamo Tourism Park, located under Timphisini Inkhundla, is a community project valued at E3.5 million and is financed by the Government’s Regional Development Fund (RDF). The project is expected to transform the local economy by attracting tourists and providing a platform for residents to showcase local crafts, cuisine, and cultural experiences.
Before visiting the tourism park, His Majesty toured the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre, where he commended the community for their efforts in developing skills that align with the region’s economic activities.
The King’s call for small businesses is seen as a significant boost for local entrepreneurs, providing them with an opportunity to innovate and contribute to the region’s socio-economic development.
