Kwakitsi Foundation has once again extended its help by donating new school shoes and Super Sito Journals to Mphetseni Primary School.

Shanice Reid who spoke on behalf of the foundation expressed that the Kwakitsi Foundation continues to deepen its commitment to child wellness and dignity through the delivery of 300 Super Sito wellness journals and school shoes to learners at Mphetseni Primary School.

The success of this outreach was made possible through the generous support of Letshego Financial Services, who purchased the wellness journals. The school shoes were kindly donated by Eswatini Mobile who have over the years shown generous support to the Foundation. Their partnership reflects the powerful role that private sector collaboration can play in advancing child wellbeing and educational support in Eswatini.

Founded in 2022 by Her Royal Highness Princess Temtsimba, Kwakitsi Foundation was established to bridge the gap between human potential and the lack many emaSwati face. Its work spans educational support, wellness initiatives, arts development, and direct assistance to vulnerable communities. Central to its mission is restoring dignity — and investing in children remains one of its most powerful avenues for long-term impact.

Reid explained “Super Sito is a child-friendly wellness journal designed to help learners understand their emotions, identify stress and anxiety, build confidence, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. The journal creates a safe and interactive space where children can reflect, express themselves, and grow in self-awareness.”

She revealed that by introducing wellness tools at a primary school level, the initiative aims to normalize conversations around mental health and emotional resilience.

“Today’s delivery was not simply a distribution exercise — it was an integrated wellness engagement.”

The event was strengthened by collaboration with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, which oversees child welfare matters in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

The DPM’s Office sent a counsellor to address learners directly on issues of emotional wellbeing and bullying. Ngazile Dlamini represented the DPM’s Office Children’s Welfare Office, reinforcing the importance of creating safe, supportive school environments where children feel heard and protected.

The addition of school shoes further addressed a practical but critical need. For many learners, basic necessities directly affect attendance, confidence, and academic performance. By pairing emotional support resources with tangible essentials, the initiative demonstrated a holistic approach to child development — caring for both the inner and outer needs of the child.

The donation took place yesterday at Mphetseni Primary School . “It was a reminder that meaningful change happens when government, private sector, and nonprofit organizations work together. Through Super Sito, through dialogue, and through practical support, children are being equipped not only to succeed academically, but to thrive emotionally,” shared Reid.

As Kwakitsi Foundation continues its mission, the vision remains clear: to raise a generation of emotionally aware, confident, and empowered young leaders — one school at a time.
