MBABANE – Liverpool FC can win the English Premier League, earlier than anticipated if Arsenal lose to Crystal Palace tonight (9pm).
Arsenal hosts Crystal Palace tonight in a must win game if they are to keep their title hopes alive of winning the league, even though it’s a mission impossible for the gunners as they are trailing Liverpool with 13 points with only five games remaining.
The ‘Reds’ are now one win away from claiming their second Premier League title ahead of hosting Tottenham on Sunday and a win from that game will guarantee them their 20th League, matching struggling Manchester United.
Meanwhile, according to the daily mail sports, Liverpool players will gather to watch Arsenal’s clash with Crystal Palace as revealed by Captain Virgil van Dijk.
Van Dijk said he and his team-mates will hold a gathering to watch the match – but expects the party to be delayed for a little longer, if Arsenal win and pocket the maximum points and the wait will continue to Sunday against Tottenham.
English Premier League defending champions Manchester City had a dramatic win against Aston Villa on Tuesday evening in the battle for a champions league spot. They won the match 2-1 scoring in added minutes of the game.
There are five teams battling for three champions league spots and they are Aston Villa, Manchester City., Newcastle, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest as Liverpool and Arsenal are already guaranteed a spot in the next season edition.
