MBABANE – Local comedians Mdzura and Kwethu have picked up the pace of their school tour, returning to the stage at Duze High School on July 10, 2024.

In an exclusive interview, Mdzura said, “We are continuing with our school tours, and we were at Duze High School on Wednesday, where we hosted the tour.”

At the heart of their school tour, Mdzura and Kwethu have made giving back a priority by donating to underprivileged students in every school they visit. With the proceeds from the tour, the duo is supporting the school with money that the Charity Club teachers decide on what to buy for the pupils.

The school tour, spearheaded by Mdzura and Kwethu, was bolstered by the presence of other celebrated local artists, including Thaifo Son, Nomkhosi Mavuso, and the Mbuluzi twin brothers. The talented performers ignited the crowd with their enthralling performances, captivating the audience with their dynamic stage presence and soulful vocals.

“We would like to thank the school administrators for making this event a success, because if it weren’t for them, this event wouldn’t be a success,” said Dlamini. He expressed his gratitude to the teachers for allowing them to grace the school and disturb the schedule of the day for a good cause.

As the school tour continues to gain traction and generate enthusiasm among young audiences, Mdzura shared the challenge of securing sponsorships for these events.
“We are looking forward to visiting even rural schools, but we cannot make it there because the little we get only gives us some limited distances,” he said.
