MBABANE – In an exciting career move, local artist Bragga Anacobra has secured a production deal with Dust Records Entertainment based in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
With a nine-month contract under his belt, Bragga Anacobra (real name Simphiwe Dlamini) is set to embark on an exciting musical journey, producing songs for signed artists of Dust Records Entertainment.
Bragga Anacobra is a talented musician and a producer, having honed his skills over six years in the music industry. He originates from Nhlangano and based in Steenbok, Mpumalanga.
Previously, he has collaborated with a diverse range of local and international artists from Swaziland, South Africa, and Mozambique.
According to him, the biggest project he worked on was by C-zo tilted “Imali”.
In 2003 he produced a beat for a renowned South African artist, Duncan. In Mozambique he worked with Arthur.
Locally, he worked with Liz Harris ,Mackalizma, Eimsofly, King Rosli , Ncamstar to list a few.
Taking the music journey, he was inspired by the American hip hop back in 2010. This include music by the likes of Lil wayne , Birdman & Future and then started to listen to local music.
After being inspired by Diba diba & Chackalaka, he realised it was possible for him too. He met Liz Harris who was interested in music production, and inspired him to start practising FL studio and watching tutorials online.
Adding to his musical background, Bragga Anacobra pursued an Associate Degree in Music Design at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. His academic journey not only enriched his musical knowledge but provided him with a solid foundation for his future endeavours in the industry, including his recent production deal with Dust.
As a professional musician, he is also working on developing a new wave traditional African Music which mixes the African traditional Sounds and instruments with the new school afro pop and trap.
The signed deal opportunity presents a unique challenge for the artist, requiring him to bring out the best in artist talents, all while showcasing his creative flair and production expertise. With nine months on the clock, it will be fascinating to witness the musical fruits of the collaboration.
