LUVE- Eswatini’s T Spike teams up with Pepe for a heartfelt musical collaboration.
For Mndeni Mbhamali, better known as T Spike, making music is something that comes naturally. His latest single, Ngiyamtsandza, featuring Phelelisiwe Manana (Pepe), is a testament to his organic creativity and deep belief in love as a source of inspiration.
Speaking about his creative process, T Spike shared that many of his songs begin in FL Studio when he’s experimenting with beats. “Sometimes when I’m playing around in FL Studio and play something nice, I lay the chorus,” he explained. A firm believer in love, he finds it easier to express himself through heartfelt lyrics.
The collaboration with Pepe came about after a friend from South Africa advised him to find a female vocalist for the song. T Spike sent her the beat to rehearse, initially planning for her to only sing the chorus. “I realised she would sound great in the verse too, so I had her write something, and she came to the house, and we recorded,” he said.
According to T Spike, Ngiyamtsandza has been well received by those who have heard it. “People love the song. It’s just that I don’t have that many followers, which I rely mostly on to spread the music. But I am sure more people love the song too. I strongly believe in my taste and talent,” he added confidently.
