MBABANE – Three teams under the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) Instacash FA Cup were crowned champions over the weekend in different zones.
The trio of Submarine, Makhweya Young Stars, and Love and Peace all took home E7 000 each and Instacash branded soccer kit, gold medals and a trophy.
Submarine won under Nkhaba Zone after beating Motshane Very Good in the finals while Makhweya Young Stars were champions under Mhlangatane with Love & Peace being champions at Maphalaleni.
The Hhohho FA Cup was played on Saturday at Mhlangatane and Maphalaleni while action got under way in Nkhaba on Sunday.
The FA Cup tournaments continue in the coming weekend at different zones. There are 14 zones under the HRFA that will be competing in the E231 000 sponsorship. Only teams with the highest number of register members under the Instacash Funeral Cover that are eligible to play. The funeral cover goes as little as E15 per month or E180 per year.
The FA Cup tournaments were also launched in regions including Shiselweni and Lubombo.
The tournaments are played as a one day tournaments in all the zones with four teams contesting for the championships. The tournaments start with the semi-finals with the winners going straight for the finals and crowned champions after the game.
The FA Cups are in their second edition after they were launched in 2023.
