MBABANE – Local actor Luyanda Mali has been nominated in Zambian Zikomo Awards. He has been nominated in two categories which are Best Actor of the Year and the Best Inspirational Zikomo Man.
When reached for comment Mali shared with this publication that he was honoured and excited about the nomination in what he described as the biggest award event in Africa.
He said ,” It’s such an honour to be nominated alongside other prominent actors renowned actors in Africa.
“I’m nominated for two different categories, Best Zikomo Actor of the Year and Best Inspirational Zikoma Man of the year.”
Mali is nominated alongside renowned African artists like Mondli Makhoba from Showmax “The Wife, Thabo Malema known for ETV Scandal,Wiseman Zitha known as Ndemedzo on Muvhango and other prominent figures who are in other respective catagories like musicians sensations like Makhadzi, Nomcebo Zikode, Nkosazane Daughter and more big African names.
The Zikomo Awards celebrates Africans who are outstanding in their fields and were founded in 2021 in Zambia.
Mali then appealed to emaSwati to assist him get more votes. He said, “I also need votes, only Eswatini people can vote for me since Eswatini serves as an representative in the Award event.”
