MAKOTI FESTIVAL UNVEILS LOCAL ,INTERNATIONAL MCs FOR THE 4TH EDITION

MALKERNS  — And here are your MCS for the fourth edition of Makoti Festival!

Makoti Festival has announced the main MCs  and guests MCs who will grace the stage this year, these are the ever charismatic Mzwakhe Tjovitjo Khumalo, who is the main MC and Siphesihle  Nkwanyana both locals.

Its worth mentioning that the two graced the third edition as MCs as well. The guest MCs are Ligwalagwalaradio host Buhle  (born Nobuhle Glennette Ndlovu) and Moska  Saeed Mositi from Lesotho as this was confirmed by Festival’s Director, Thembinkosi Mthethwa.

The fourth edition of the Makoti Festival will be held on April 26, 2025 at the Malkerns Country Club.

THE FULL LINE- UP OF PERFORMING ARTISTS  includes; South African Gospel legend Dr. Rebecca Malope, Mozambique’s queen of Afro-beat Lizha James, Maskandi powerhouse Khuzani “uGatsheni” Ndlovu Phumla Music. Ntate Stunna from Lesotho, Gogo Mpila, King Kanga, Young Zesh , and the legendary gospel ensemble Shongwe Ne Khuphuka, Mshikishi and Siyinqaba. It’s worth noting that traditionally dancing groups from Lesotho and Mozambique will also form part of the line-up for the highly anticipated festival,.While DJs who will grace the fourth edition include,

The first edition of Makoti Festival was held in April 2022. The brand has massively grown offshores and saw media launches in three different countries last month. The festival had media activations were held in South Africa (Mbombela), Lesotho, and Mozambique (Maputo).

Tickets are available through platforms like Howler, Computicket, Mojaticket, and the official website, www.makotifestival.com. The ticket prices are as follows: General Admission is E300, while VIP Tickets are E500.

Tickets can also be purchased via MoMo through MTN Eswatini, with a step-by-step guide provided for convenience.

The Makoti Festival is designed to be a family-oriented event that promotes Eswatini culture. It celebrates modern women, including both married and unmarried individuals, as well as young girls aspiring to embrace their identity as makotis. The festival will feature various activities, including fashion and food stalls, along with live performances that showcase trendy fashion for women of all ages.

This year’s festival promises to be an exciting and culturally enriching experience for attendees, highlighting the vibrant traditions and contemporary expressions of Eswatini culture.
