MINISTER SAVANNAH GETS LIFETIME AWARD

MBABANE – Minister of Information Communications and Technology (ICT) Savannah Maziya has received a prestigious Lifetime Award for Africa Economy Builders Forum and Awards.

This was announced by the Ministry of ICT, through a statement they issued today (Tuesday, August 6, 2024). According to the statement, this award celebrates awardee’s contribution to economic development in the continent and is one of the significant recognitions in Africa.

“Minister Maziya’s recognition as the sole recipient of the Life Time Award this year solidifies her standing as a visionary leader and an advocate for sustainable economic growth across Africa,” said the statement.

The statement further highlights that the minister received the award on July 4, 2024 during a grand ceremony held in Ivory Coast.
On a related note, the minister was also honored with a Leadership Award on July 11, 2024 from the French African Marketing Association under the theme Act and Impact.

“Maziya’s leadership was particularly lauded for its broad influence across the continent French speaking African countries. Her contributions were recognised alongside other distinguished Lifetime Award recipients, including Mo Ibrahim, a Sudanese- British telecommunications magnate, Sir Sam Jonah, a Ghanaian gold mining entrepreneur, and Samuel Dessou- Aworet, a prominent figure in the petrochemical industry,” the statement said.

The statement highlights that the Ministry of ICT and entire Kingdom extend heartfelt congratulations to minister Maziya for this remarkable achievements which not only honour her personal accomplishment but also solidify her commitment and leadership positioning towards advancing innovation, economic prosperity and promoting collaborations with the Kingdom of Eswatini throughout the world.
