NATIONAL DISABILITY SPORTS DAY ON NOVEMBER 22 AT LOBAMBA

MBABANE – The country will celebrate the National Disability Sports Day on November 22, 2024 at the Lobamba Technical Centre.

The day will be hosted by the country’s sports mother body, the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) which is under the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Eswatini Paralympic Committee.

“Join us on Friday, November 22, 2024 as we celebrate National Disability Sports Day at the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Centre, Lobamba. The key event highlights the importance of inclusive participation for all which is one of the key focus arrears for the Sports Council,” reads a statement from ESRC.

There are a number of sporting codes to be played on the day especially for the people living with disabilities. They include athletics, netball, wheelchair basketball, table tennis, teqball, sitting volleyball, martial arts and football among others.

The ESRC has been busy visiting Tinkhundla Centre under the Shukuma Eswatini program. They recently visited the Siphofaneni Inkhundla and Zombodze Emuva Inkhundla were they also assist the communities with some of their facilities including fixing toilet s and sports ground.
