PIGGS PEAK – Excitement filled the air as Embiveni Meats opened its newest store in Piggs Peak. This event drew large, enthusiastic crowds from the area, as residents gathered to witness the official opening on the 31st of May 2025.
This latest addition marks the sixth Embiveni Meat Industries outlet in the country, following the successful establishment of stores in Manzini, Matsapha, Mbabane, Siphofaneni, and Piggs Peak. The company’s long term vision, according to Marketing Officer Nontsikelelo Dlamini, is to have a store in every town in Eswatini, ensuring that fresh, affordable meat is accessible to all.
Dlamini shared that the company is committed to community based growth. She explained, “We are bringing our services closer to the people. We’re proud to have hired staff from within the Piggs Peak area and to continue uplifting communities through employment and economic activity. Most importantly, we do not import any of our meat we work with local farmers because we believe in supporting Eswatini’s agricultural economy.”
Dlamini also assured customers about the safety and quality of Embiveni’s products. “All our meat is scientifically tested to ensure it meets health standards. We are aware of the foot and mouth outbreak and, for now, we are not sourcing cattle from the Shiselweni region, where veterinary authorities have spotted the disease,” she explained. “Human health and safety is our top priority.”
The store launch was festive and energetic, with dancing, games, and instant giveaways. Lucky winners walked away with 4kg buckets of wors, 2kg wors, and 1kg polony during various fun challenges. Two dedicated early birds, Lucas Vilakati and Margaret Mziyako, were the first to arrive at the store in the morning and were each rewarded with E1000 grocery vouchers.
Dlamini expressed sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support: “We are truly thankful to emaSwati for the love and energy they brought to Piggs Peak today. It was a very successful launch.
