MBABANE – “Ngivuka I am on TV”
These words were echoed by local singer M Nation this morning when he saw his song air for the first time on DSTV music channel 135 MTV.
The song, titled Africa Unite, aired in the morning at 8am. It was produced by a South African production company, Shelembe Production, based in Durban.
When reached for comment, M. Nation shared with this publication that he was so excited and happy to see himself on TV this morning. He said, “It was the first time seeing my song on the music channel. I was so happy, and all thanks to Shelembe Production for giving me such a platform,” said M. Nation.
MTV It was officially launched on August 1, 1981. Based in New York City, it serves as the flagship property of the MTV Entertainment Group, part of Paramount Media Networks, a division of Paramount Global.
Born Wandile Ndlovu in Pigg’s Peak 30 years ago, he debuted his music career in 2015. He was among the top 10 winners at last year’s MTN Bushfire Firefly. This helped his brand a lot, as he has been recognised and recommended at a lot of big events.
M Nation successfully launched his Limuva Arts Festival last month in Pigg’s Peak at the Zhumio Lounge on June 22. He also performed at the third edition of the Makoti Festival this year and the recent Epic Gig Festival on the weekend. On Saturday, he was part of the line-up for the First Annual True Classic Music Festival, which was held at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga. also shared the stage in South Africa with renowned artists Makhadzi, Kwesta, Master KG, Nkosazana Daughter, Blaq Diamond, Mlindo the Vocalist, Mthandeni, and many more.
Early this year, he bagged his first international al gig when he performed at the Surajkund International Craft Mela 2024 in February. The 37th edition of the festival was held on February 2–18, 2024, at Surajkund, Faridabad. He has performed all over the country and headlined a lot of events, including the MTN Bushfire Festival last year, Sibebe Hiking, Biggest Braai, Eswatini Motorsport Weekend, and a lot of other events.
