MANZINI – A new era in healthcare was ushered in this morning with the official launch of the OncAura Wellness Center brand in Manzini.
The event, which drew healthcare professionals, business leaders, government representatives, and members of the community, marked a significant step forward in Eswatini’s efforts to provide comprehensive and accessible cancer care locally.
Held at the site where the facility is currently under construction, the launch event was both symbolic and inspiring. It gave attendees a first-hand look at the vision behind OncAura—an innovative medical center that will not only offer oncology services but also embrace a holistic healing approach tailored to the diverse needs of cancer patients. The Center is expected to be completed and operational within the next few months.
Delivering the keynote address, OncAura’s Chairman, Dr Victor, shared the story behind the birth of the initiative and its overarching mission. He explained that the name “OncAura” is a combination of “Onc” from oncology and “Aura,” symbolizing the energy that surrounds the human spirit. He said the center’s philosophy was founded on the belief that healing goes beyond medical treatment, encompassing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of patient care.
Dr Victor further highlighted the gaps that exist in cancer treatment services across Southern Africa, noting that many patients are forced to seek expensive and emotionally taxing treatment options outside the country. He said OncAura aims to close this gap by offering high-quality, locally accessible cancer care. The facility is designed to meet global standards, with modern infrastructure, advanced medical technologies, and a compassionate team of professionals who will guide patients throughout their healing journey.
“The journey of a cancer patient is complex and deeply personal. Our vision is to ensure that every patient who walks through our doors finds more than just treatment—they find a sanctuary of hope, restoration, and dignity,” said Dr Victor.
As part of the event, guests were taken on a guided tour of the facility, where they viewed the progress of the construction and were briefed on the services that will be offered. The center will feature oncology units equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment tools, complemented by therapeutic wellness suites that will provide services such as nutritional counseling, physiotherapy, pain management, mental health support, and spiritual care.
One of the event’s highlights was the unveiling of OncAura’s brand identity—a sleek and vibrant logo that visually captures the Center’s focus on life, energy, and healing. The branding was described as a reflection of the facility’s patient-first approach, with warm, welcoming tones and a design that symbolizes growth, resilience, and holistic care.
Stakeholders at the launch expressed optimism about the potential impact of the Center. Many praised the vision of OncAura as timely, particularly as Eswatini continues to face increasing cancer rates, coupled with limited local treatment options. Guests also commended the leadership team for taking bold steps to bridge the gap between clinical treatment and holistic wellness.
Once operational, the OncAura Wellness Center will not only serve patients from Eswatini but also cater to clients from neighboring countries, positioning Manzini as a regional hub for integrated oncology care. The facility is also expected to create employment opportunities for local healthcare professionals, support staff, and wellness practitioners.
In closing the event, Dr Victor invited stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to partner with OncAura in its mission to transform the way cancer is treated in Eswatini. He emphasized that the fight against cancer requires collective effort and sustained support from all corners of society.
As the countdown to completion begins, the launch of OncAura’s brand identity serves as a powerful symbol of hope for individuals and families affected by cancer. The Center is set to become a beacon of healing, innovation, and empowerment in the country’s health sector.
