MBABANE – Opportunities are open for Emaswati to study in tertiary institutions in Mauritius, as that country has availed scholarships to make that happen.
A statement issued today (Wednesday, November 20, 2024) by Ministry of Labour and Social Security Principal Secretary (PS) Makhosini Mndawe, states that the scholarships would be available for those under 40 and under 26 years of age. Those interested in applying for the scholarships have until April 23, 2025 (for electronic applications) and April 30, 2025 (physical application) to submit their applications.
According to the statement, those who wish to enroll for undergraduate programmes should be under 26 years of age by January 1, 2025. Those who want to enroll post graduate programmes, such as MPhil and PhD programmes should be under 40 years of age by January 1, 2025. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, return airfare, and accommodation.
Applicants must have already applied for a full time campus programme at a higher learning institution in Mauritius before applying. Applicants are to fill in the form electronically and print it for endorsement by the nominating agency, which is the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. The duly filled application form should be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Mauritius, to the following email address:
