MATSAPHA– Oracle Health has strengthened its commitment to improving healthcare access in Eswatini through a E20 000 donation to Hospice at Home, a contribution aimed at supporting the rehabilitation of the facility and enhancing care for vulnerable patients.

The donation was officially presented during MTN Eswatini’s 21 Days of Y’ello Care handover ceremony, which focused on advancing healthcare services under the theme, “Expanding Equitable Health for All.”

Speaking during the event, Oracle Group Eswatini Marketing Manager Sikhumbuzo Nkambule said the donation reflects the company’s purpose of “Protect What Matters” by safeguarding the lives, dignity and wellbeing of Emaswati.

Nkambule praised MTN Eswatini for bringing together stakeholders and partners to support a cause that directly impacts communities and improves the quality of life for those in need.

He noted that protecting what matters begins with caring for society’s most vulnerable members, particularly individuals facing serious health challenges and requiring specialised care.

According to Nkambule, a recent visit to Hospice at Home gave Oracle Health firsthand insight into the critical services offered by the institution and the challenges it faces in delivering care.

“The visit also highlighted the urgent need for additional support to restore the facility’s capacity to admit and care for patients as a step-down facility while continuing its essential outreach services,” he said.

He explained that Hospice at Home plays a vital role in providing home-based and palliative care services to patients and families navigating difficult health circumstances.

While acknowledging that the E20 000 donation would not address all the rehabilitation needs of the institution, Nkambule said it represents a meaningful contribution towards strengthening healthcare support systems and ensuring patients continue receiving quality care.

He emphasized that improving healthcare outcomes requires collaboration between government, the private sector and communities.

Nkambule further encouraged businesses, organisations and individuals to support Hospice at Home and similar initiatives, stressing that collective action is essential in addressing healthcare challenges and expanding access to care.

“By supporting Hospice at Home, we are investing in dignity, compassion, quality care and hope for patients and families facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances,” he said.

The donation forms part of a broader effort by corporate partners participating in MTN Eswatini’s Y’ello Care campaign to improve healthcare infrastructure and services for vulnerable communities across the country.

As demand for palliative and home-based care continues to grow, contributions such as these are expected to play a key role in strengthening healthcare delivery and improving the lives of patients and their families.
