MBABANE – In a heart warming display of unity and compassion, a collaborative effort between three entities donated clothes to over 70 individual in Mafini community under Malkerns.

The entities who came together for this kind gesture are the Malkerns Town Council, Gone Rural Project – Green Adventures Enterprise (Student Company) and the Youth Leadership and Transformation Organisation (YOUTHLET).

Paul Nkambule the founder of YOUTHLET said the initiative, driven by a shared desire to spread love and instil hope, struck a chord with the youth in the community, emphasizing the power of coming together to make a positive impact.

He said beyond the material donations, the event encouraged community members to explore ways in which they could leverage their skills and talents to create sustainable livelihoods.

Nkambule further stated that encouraging youth to develop practical skills and become self-sufficient is crucial in the fight of Gender Based Violence (GBV).

“As an organisation we aim to inspire young people to use their skills and creativity to generate income through hand work. It is crucial to recognize that even the smallest act of kindness, such as donating clothes or offering support, can have a profound impact on someone’s life. The YOUTHLET Organisation continues to champion the mission of spreading love and hope and we are inviting others to join us in our noble cause,” he said.

Siyabonga Nxumalo, a member of the Gone Rural Project, provided insight into the Green Adventures Enterprise, a student-led initiative.

In honour of the late King Sobhuza II, known for his compassion towards all Eswatini citizens, the students carried out donations as a way of embodying his spirit of generosity. He said through their actions, the students aimed to continue the Kings legacy of caring for others and making a positive impact in the community.
