MBABANE — A powerful women’s gathering centred on culture, faith and purpose is set to return as Break Your Shell Eswatini hosts the 9th edition of its annual empowerment event.
The full-day event will take place at Sibayeni Lodge (Sangweni Hall), bringing together women and girls for a programme designed to uplift them spiritually, mentally and emotionally while encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Proceedings will begin at Mantenga Cultural Village, where guests from South Africa will showcase African culture through performances and exhibitions. The groups include Gauteng’s “Me Time” queens and Cape Town’s “Chakaza Ntombi”, led by Minister Tebogo Modisane and Queen Angie.
At midday, the programme will transition into an empowerment session, focusing on challenges women face in society, at home and in the workplace. Organisers say the aim is to build strong, confident women who can rise above life’s difficulties.
The event will conclude with a worship evening themed “In Spirit & in Truth”, inspired by the When Women Worship Volume 4 album. Gospel artists including Banele Dlamini, Zodwa Samboko and Nellie Ndawonye are expected to perform. Among local guest artists is also Nothando Shabangu Dlamini.
Founder Pastor Phiwayinkhosi Mabuza said the initiative continues to grow each year due to strong community support.
“This event has grown significantly over the years, and we are grateful for the support we continue to receive from companies, churches and businesspeople,” said Mabuza.
“It is through this support that we are able to sustain and expand this vision of empowering women and girls.”
She further hinted at a surprise addition to the worship lineup.
“ We are expecting also a gospel inspiring artist from RSA, only now waiting for logistics to reveal her name,” she said.
She emphasised that the organisation’s mission remains rooted in holistic development.
“We prioritise spiritual, mental and emotional health so that a woman can first bring life to herself, and then to others,” she said.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in traditional or African attire, aligning with the theme “The Footsteps of a Black Woman”, which celebrates identity and heritage.
Organisers have urged early booking, noting that different sessions will have separate entrance fees. Those unable to attend earlier activities will still be able to join the evening worship.
Break Your Shell Eswatini reaffirmed its commitment to improving the event each year by bringing impactful speakers and meaningful programmes that uplift women and strengthen communities.
