MBABANE – Hardly a week after being appointed into the position, Shiselweni Regional Administrator (RA) Themba Masuku has hit the ground running, as he presented a car to Richman Nala Mthethwa over the past weekend.
Mthethwa a Driver/ Operator from the Public Works Department under the Gravel Unit from Dzakasini in the Shiselweni region was the luckiest man when he won a brand new Hyundai i10s worth around E300 000 courtesy of a draw that was carried out throughout the Built It Stores.
According to reports, 360 shops participated in the draw and each store had a lucky customer winning a E1 000 voucher in a draw that was held in-store. The E1 000 was a consolation prize should you not win the car. All the 360 winners were then contestants running for 10 cars according to the 10 regions within the Build It Group. The Eswatini region had nine stores participating in the contest for one car. Build It Nhlangano customer Mr. Nala Mthethwa won the car through a draw that was held at the Build It Group Head Office in the Republic of South Africa.
Leo Mamba, Nhlangano Build It Marketing and Advertising Officer mentioned that they were excited as a store to reach out the communities they work with. “The customer had to spend at least 500SZL or more on promotional items and Mr. Mthethwa bought items worth 2199.93SZL and he has won a car worth about 136 times the value of his purchase. We are happy for him as a store and we hope he will put it to good use” said Mamba.
Mthethwa, who was in the company of his wife, Bongekile Mthethwa (LaManyatsi) and other family members thanked all those who supported him until this positive development. “I would like to thank Build It Nhlangano for the precious gift; they have excellent customer service from the moment you walk in. I would like to appreciate Build It Nhlangano and the Shiselweni people at large for this great moment. My wish is to have Build It stretch its wings to Mbulungwane area” said an elated Mthethwa.
A brief handover ceremony was held at the Nhlangano Build It Store where multi award winning MC Mzwakhe “Tjovitjo” Khumalo was directing proceedings. The event was attended by scores of onlookers and Build It Customers and Staff present on Saturday.
