SHUKUMA DONATES FOOD PARCELS TO ELDERS IN  MBABANE EAST

MBABANE – Four elders from Mbabane East constituency received generous food parcels today during a handover ceremony led by Phindile Maziya indvuna yenkhundla of Mbabane East.

The initiative was part of Shukuma’s promise to give back to the community, following their visit to Mbabane East last December during an exercise session at the Prince of Wales.Indvuna Yenkhundla Pindile Maziya explained the background behind the gesture.

The beneficiaries included Fikile Masilela (80) from Msunduza, who said the groceries would help support the six members of her household, Simon Matsebula (89) from Fonteyn, Rose Mhlanga (81) from Mdzimba, and Lomaphoyisa Mnisi (95) from Sidvwashini.

“As we were exercising our bodies at Prince of Wales,Shukuma told us that they would love to give back to the community. They requested us to choose four elders from our constituency. Since our constituency is made up of four chiefdoms, we selected one elder from each chiefdom. We have three females and one male.”

Each recipient received a food parcel containing; 10kg maize meal, 10kg rice, 10kg brown sugar, 5kg beans,5kg emabele (sorghum), 5 litres of cooking oil, 1 kg Salt, 2kg washing powder, 12 bars of Sunlight soap and  sachets of Knorr soup.

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, Rose Mhlanga expressed sincere gratitude,“We really are grateful for this generous donation, and we thank God who touched your hearts. May God bless you all.”

The donation reflects Shukuma’s continued efforts to promote community wellness beyond physical fitness, extending their reach into social support and care for the elderly.
