MBABANE – Somhlolo National Stadium will become the epicentre of excitement, as it will host the highly anticipated KFC Scara Thindwa Soccer Tournament Finals on Saturday (July 13, 2024).
The Scara Thindwa Soccer Tournament, sponsored by KFC to the tune of E900 000, took a step closer to the business end at Manzini Club on Wednesday (July 3, 2024), as 16 schools competed at their respective categories for the final’s spot.
During the final day of the tournament, the focus will be on the grand finale which will feature the Ladies U17 category where 2023 edition runners-up Ngwane High School will lock horns with Nceka Primary School for the coveted prize at 1130hrs. While the reigning champions Mdzimba High school will battle against Mpakeni High School in the third-place play-off match at 10hrs.
Meanwhile, the stadium will be divided into two pitches to accommodate the under 13 and 15 categories. As early as 8 am, Duze High School will battle the 2023 edition champions, Our Lady’s of Sorrow in Pitch 1 for the third place in the Under 15 category, while pitch will play host to the Under 13 category third-place play-off match pitting up St Marks Primary School and Manzini Central Primary School.
The stakes are incredibly high in the already electrifying competition, as the Under 13 and 15 finals will take centre stage at 0900hrs. On pitch 1, Mhlatane High School will face Lamawandla High School in the Under 15 category, while Lusoti Primary will battle against Elulakeni Primary School in the Under 13 category.
