MBABANE – Golfer Valentine Maziya was the winner of the Swaziland Building Society (SBS) Club Championship played at Mbabane Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
Maziya won the two-day tournament that also celebrated the 10th year anniversary with 155 Gross. He beats a field of about 80 golfers who tee-off in the tournament. Maziya kept is cool throughout the two days overcoming strong contender the defending Champion Junior Golfer Mongiwethu Masuku.
“Over a long two days, with threats of bad weather, Valentine Maziya showed consistence, perseverance to claim the top spot and be named the Mbabane Club Championships 2025. Valentine played an impressive 155 Gross, beating a field of 80 golfers,” reads a statement from Mbabane Golf Club.
Other winners on the day included Kenneth Dlamini who won best gross in B division, Sifiso Mashwama in c division and Albert Mavuso with the best overall net.
“The Mbabane Golf Club would like to congratulate all the winners and golfers who took part on the 10th Swaziland Building Society Club Championship that took place over the weekend. The success of the Championship marks a huge celebration on the 10 year partnership between Swaziland Building Society and the Golf Community in Mbabane,” reads the statement.
The best junior golfer on the day was Mongiwethu Masuku while Nosmilo Kgomo was the best ladies overall with a gross of 162. The most improved golfer was Musa Shongwe and longest day award went to Mcebo Sigudla.
