NKWENE – Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has handed over a tractor with implements, a truck, and agricultural inputs worth E3 million to Zamani Mkhwenyana Investment.

The project is financed through Government’s Regional Development Fund (RDF) and marks a bold stride towards sustainable, inclusive development.

Gathered at the scenic Buseleni Chiefdom, community members, traditional leaders, and government officials celebrated the official launch of this income-generating agricultural venture. The DPM hailed the occasion as “not merely a donation, but an investment in the future of this community – a catalyst for partnership and progress.”

A Symbol of Government’s Commitment

The DPM emphasized that the RDF, administered by the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, has become a powerful tool for uplifting communities across Eswatini. She noted that Nkwene Inkhundla alone has received over E10 million in RDF-backed sustainable projects in the last two years.

“This project is a shining example of the kind of initiatives we must continue to support and replicate,” said Dladla. “Agriculture is the lifeblood of our economy. By investing in modern equipment, we are ensuring food security, job creation, and economic empowerment for local families.”

Empowering Everyone, Leaving No One Behind

In a moving tribute to the spirit of inclusivity, the DPM praised Zamani Mkhwenyana Investment for bringing together men, women, and youth in the project’s implementation. “This is the true spirit of our national development goals – where everyone has a place and a purpose. This project proves that when we work together, there is no limit to what we can achieve,” she said.

She further urged all RDF beneficiaries and citizens to adopt a mindset of self-reliance and diligence, noting that true development must be sustainable, environmentally sound, and beneficial for generations.

A Call to Protect Our Children

As she closed the official proceedings on a hopeful note, the DPM took a solemn moment to address the escalating murder of children, calling it a “scourge” that must unite the nation in grief and resolve.

“This evil must be stopped. Each child lost is a future stolen,” she declared. “Government is working tirelessly with law enforcement, but this is a fight that must involve all of us. Speak out, report suspicious activity – together we must shield our children.”

Lighting the Way for More Success Stories

With the machinery handed over and the vision set in motion, Zamani Mkhwenyana Investment is now poised to transform the agricultural landscape of Nkwene and inspire similar projects across the Kingdom.

“Let this be a beacon of what is possible when communities and government work hand-in-hand,” said the DPM. “Together, we are cultivating a future of prosperity.”
