MBABANE – The wait is finally over for local football fans as the 2025/26 MTN Premier League season is set to kick off on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
The Premier League of Eswatini has officially released the fixtures, venues, and dates for the opening weeks of the campaign, setting the stage for another thrilling season of football action.
The curtain will rise with a mouthwatering clash between Tambuti Celtics and Sisonkhe FC at Tabankulu, marking the official start of the new season. On the same day, Green Mamba will host Manzini Swallows at Kalanga, while giants Mbabane Highlanders face a stern test against Nsingizini Hotspurs at Mavuso Stadium.
Other opening weekend fixtures include Rangers vs. Sea Birds at King Sobhuza, Malanti Chiefs vs. Amawele at Killarney, and Manzini Wanderers vs. Moneni Pirates at Mavuso Stadium in what promises to be one of the most exciting derbies of the weekend. Defending champions Royal Leopard will begin their title defense against Young Buffaloes at Mkhuzweni, while Ubombo Sugar clash with Ezulwini United at Mayaluka to wrap up Week 1.
The release of the fixture schedule has brought excitement across the football fraternity, with fans, clubs, and sponsors eagerly preparing for the season. Venues spread across the country from Simunye to Mhlume, Mavuso to Mayaluka are expected to draw large crowds as supporters return to rally behind their favorite teams.
