MAYIWANE- A total of 59 bagcugcuteli — 56 females and 3 males — are undergoing a multi-sector training programme at Mayiwane Inkhundla, aimed at strengthening their ability to serve and support communities.
The training is facilitated by the Ministry of Health, NDRMA, Eswatini Red Cross, Tinkhundla Administration, Royal Eswatini Police Service and Civil Registration.
Speaking during the programme, Indvuna yenkhundla Magolide Ndwandwe said the training is important in equipping bagcugcuteli with knowledge that can help them respond to community needs and connect residents with essential government services.
The different institutions are covering key areas including health, disaster preparedness, safety and security, civil registration and community development.
Ndwandwe emphasised that empowering bagcugcuteli strengthens the link between communities and service providers, ensuring that important information reaches people at grassroots level.
The programme is expected to enhance collaboration between bagcugcuteli, government departments and other community stakeholders while building a more informed and prepared community.
