MBABANE – A positive step.

Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, met with the UK Minister of State for Trade Policy, Douglas Alexander, during the 1st Joint Council Meeting of SACU and Mozambique.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the event, focused on strengthening bilateral trade through the SACUM-UK Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).

It is said key discussions centered on unlocking opportunities in agriculture, information technology, and sustainable energy, with Khumalo inviting UK companies to the Eswatini Investment Conference, scheduled for April 2025.

Khumalo reaffirmed Eswatini’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and emphasized the pivotal role of Foreign Direct Investment in driving the country’s economic growth.

This engagement signals a significant step in enhancing Eswatini’s global trade partnerships while promoting economic diversification and sustainable development.
