MALKERNS – Because local is always lekker!
The Makoti Festival is set to showcase local talent at its fourth edition, taking place at the Malkerns Country Club on April 26, 2025. Presented by New Life Entertainment in partnership with the Illa Penboy Foundation, this festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of Eswatini culture.
Local DJs Lineup
This year, 11 local DJs will spin the decks, bringing their unique sounds to the festival. The lineup includes:

– DJ MBO
– Master P
– The Bishop
– Culolam
– Sbu The Drum DJ
– Nelson X
– Lady Zee
– UrcousinPhayo
– DJ Tseko
– DJ MEnyoko
More artists will be announced as confirmed by Makoti Festival Director Thembinkosi Mthethwa.
Featured Performing Artists
So far, several performing artists have been revealed, including:
– Gogo Mpila (76), the South African Queen of Gospel, born Khokhiwe Masango
– Dr. Rebecca Malope
– Lizha James, Mozambique’s queen of Afro-beat and a multi-award winner
– Khuzani, a powerhouse in South African Maskandi music
– “uGatsheni” Ndlovu
– Shongwe Ne Khuphuka
– Siyinqaba, a duo consisting of Muti (Muzi Ngwenya) and KrTC (Thamsanqa Sibandze)
– Young Zesh, NACA 2024 Outstanding Afro-pop artist, born Mzwandile Comfort Ginindza
– Mshikishi Mndzebele
– King Kanga
Ticket Information
Early bird tickets are now available through Howler, Computicket, Mojaticket, and the official website, www.makotifestival.com. According to Mthethwa, general pre-sale tickets will increase to E300 in March, making now the best time to purchase. VIP tickets will remain at E500.
