MBABANE – Buganu Festival second leg is on the first week of March.
Hlane Royal Residence is set to come alive as the second leg of the Buganu Ceremony takes place, welcoming Lutsango from the Lubombo Region on Friday, March 7, 2025.
The vibrant annual festival, a key highlight on Eswatini’s cultural calendar, will see women from across the region gathering to celebrate unity, womanhood, and tradition through song, dance, and the sharing of the marula brew (Buganu).
Following the successful first leg at Buhleni Royal Residence, this weekend promises a display of Eswatini’s rich heritage, as His Majesty King Mswati III and the Queen Mother join the festivities.
As is tradition, the nation can also look forward to a public holiday, ensuring that all emaSwati have the opportunity to partake in or appreciate the grandeur of this deeply rooted tradition.
