MBABANE – In a display of community spirit and environmental stewardship, Malaysian tree-planting advocate Katiravan Subarayan touched down in the City of Mbabane!
Inspired by Thomas Fuller’s timeless words, “He that plants trees loves others besides himself,” Katiravan has dedicated the past two years to planting trees around the globe, and last week Thursday he made a memorable mark in our beautiful city.
Joined by Mbabane CEO Gciniwe Fakudze, Council officials and enthusiastic students from Ka-Schiele High School, Katiravan rolled up his sleeves to plant indigenous trees at the school. The event was filled with laughter, camaraderie and a shared commitment to a greener future for the City of Mbabane and Eswatini.
The Municipal Council of Mbabane is also preparing to launch an official tree-planting initiative for the entire city! This is just the beginning of a greener Mbabane and with champions like Katiravan leading the way, the future looks bright!
