MBABANE– Local artist Kholè Tshabalala celebrated for her unique sound influenced by Jazz, Neo-Soul, and both traditional and contemporary African music, is set to make waves at this year’s MTN Bushfire Festival next month. The 18th edition of the MTN Bushfire Festival will be held on 31 May – 2 June,2025.
Following a memorable performance for her home crowd in Mbabane, Kholè is now focused on one of Africa’s most celebrated music festivals.
Kholè recently showcased her talent at the 2025 Consumer Fair on Friday (April 25,2025) in Mbabane, where she debuted her distinct sound. The event provided a vibrant platform for businesses, creatives, and artists to engage with the public, and Kholè’s lively performance was met with enthusiastic applause.
“The show was amazing and the crowd was so responsive to my performance,” Kholè shared excitedly. “It is my first time performing for my home crowd, and it sure is one of my best performances yet.”
Building on this momentum, Kholè is preparing a special set for the Bushfire Festival, promising fans a dynamic and deeply personal showcase. As an independent artist, she feels empowered to explore her creativity and express herself authentically.
“As I am now an independent artist, I hope to be more creative with my performances and the sounds I create,” she stated.
In addition to her solo preparations, Kholè hinted at an exciting cross-border collaboration with a prominent Mozambican DJ, which is expected to infuse her signature sound with fresh, innovative styles. She also plans to release more original music independently in the coming months.
