LUGONGOLWENI – Vigilance at the borders pays off once again.
In a scene reminiscent of a high-stakes crime drama, officers from the Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force (UEDF) stationed at the Lugongolweni checkpoint recently intercepted a suspicious load that turned out to be a major breakthrough in border security.
Two Mozambican drivers were found with a staggering R923,600 in cash, carefully concealed in black plastic bags and hidden within their vehicles. The discovery was made during a routine inspection – a testament to the keen alertness and professionalism of Eswatini’s security forces.
