MBABANE – The 2025 Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) is set to officially launch on May 16, 2025, at the Mavuso Trade & Exhibition Centre.

This event is organized by the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Trade (MCIT) in collaboration with the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA). The launch will be officiated by Hon. Manqoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade.

Objectives and Highlights

The EITF serves as a vital platform for various sectors, including the private and public sectors, to engage with consumers. Key objectives of the fair include:

– Exhibiting goods and services

– Product launches and demonstrations

– Facilitating business linkages

– Market testing for new products and innovations

– Providing family-oriented entertainment and activities.

The launch event is expected to gather over 100 stakeholders, including sponsors, exhibitors, and media representatives. A significant highlight will be the unveiling of the EITF2025 theme, along with a preview of the fair’s offerings for the year.

Brand Refresh

In celebration of its 57-year history, the EITF has undergone a brand refresh. This includes a new logo that reflects its heritage while signaling its evolution and role in Eswatini’s economic growth. The rebranding aims to enhance brand recognition and flexibility, ensuring that the fair remains a key player in trade promotion.

Historical Context

The EITF has a rich history, having started in 1968 as the Swaziland Independence Exhibition. Initially organized as an agricultural and cultural show, it has grown to attract both local and international exhibitors, making it a cornerstone of Eswatini’s business calendar. The fair has consistently connected businesses with consumers and facilitated networking opportunities.
