EZULWINI – A new chapter in Eswatini’s journey toward technological excellence is being written.
In a vibrant gathering at the heart of Ezulwini, the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology brought together leading minds from government, business, and policy to shape a groundbreaking regulatory framework for the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP).
The national consultative workshop, facilitated by the Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC), signaled a strong commitment to nurturing a thriving innovation ecosystem.
“This is more than just regulation—it’s about laying the groundwork for Eswatini’s innovation future,” remarked ESEPARC Executive Director, Dr. Thabo Sacolo. His message resonated with hope and ambition, emphasizing a framework that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and globally competitive.
The workshop invited robust discussions on global best practices, potential regulatory gaps, and strategic opportunities. Stakeholders shared valuable insights to ensure the framework not only suits Eswatini’s unique context but also accelerates technological advancement, job creation, and economic growth.
ESEPARC pledged to incorporate all feedback and maintain an open, transparent process, with more consultations scheduled before the final draft reaches the authorities.
This collaborative effort marks a significant milestone—one that places the Royal Science and Technology Park on track to become a regional beacon of science, innovation, and progress.
