MBABANE ROLLS  OUT THE MATS FOR INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

MBABANE– Mbabane will join the world in celebrating the 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21st, 2025, at the Tennis Court in Coronation Park. Hosted in collaboration with the High Commission of India, the event will begin at sunrise under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

Yoga originated over 5,000 years ago in ancient India as a spiritual and physical discipline. Its purpose was to create harmony between the mind, body, and soul a balance that promotes inner peace and holistic well-being. Over time, yoga has evolved into a global practice embraced by millions for its benefits in managing stress, improving physical health, and cultivating mindfulness.

This year’s celebration in Mbabane will bring together people from all walks of life, residents, schoolchildren, diplomats, and wellness enthusiasts to practice yoga in unity. The session will be led by trained instructors, set to calming traditional music and the energy of a collective breath.

Beyond the physical practice, the event to celebrate the sport in terms of  wellness  and open discussions on healthy living. The goal is not only to stretch and move but also to reflect on the deep connection between personal health and the health of our planet.

Participants are encouraged to bring their  yoga mat, and arrive early. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or attending for the first time, all are welcome to be part of this meaningful morning.
