EZULWINI – Mdzimba View Shisanyama has donated sanitary pads to Somnjalose High School in Ezulwini, in a gesture aimed at supporting the education and well-being of the girl child.

The donation ceremony took place on Wednesday afternoon at the school premises, where boxes of sanitary pads were officially handed over in the presence of students, teachers, and the management of the popular entertainment venue.

Speaking on behalf of Mdzimba View, Zanomusa Khumalo said the initiative was part of their ongoing community outreach programme. “We’ve always been involved in social responsibility projects, but we realised that we had left the girl child behind. This is a first step to correcting that,” she said.
Somnjalose High School head teacher Macandza Mamba expressed appreciation for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. “This kind gesture came at the right time. It shows Mdzimba View’s commitment to supporting the community, not just through entertainment, but also by helping where it matters most,” he said.

Representing her fellow students, head girl Owethu Thwala thanked Mdzimba View for the thoughtful support. “This donation will go a long way in helping us stay clean, protected, and focused on our studies,” she said.
The school noted that the sanitary pads will be distributed to girls in need as part of efforts to promote menstrual hygiene and reduce absenteeism among female learners.

Mdzimba View management confirmed that more initiatives of this nature are planned in the area, with a focus on education, youth development, and gender support.
