…… Hopeful Progress in Salary Talks

MBABANE – In a constructive step toward improved public service conditions, Public Sector Unions (PSUs) have agreed to grant Government of Eswatini a six-week extension to finalise the long-anticipated salary review report.
The extension, though not formalised through a collective agreement yet, reflects a spirit of collaboration and mutual understanding between the unions and the Ministry of Public Service. The grace period will allow all processes, including administrative steps and potential implementation frameworks, to be thoroughly completed.
This development offers renewed hope to thousands of public servants eagerly awaiting positive news on their remuneration. It also signals a growing trust in the ongoing dialogue and a shared commitment to long-term solutions.
While no official deal has been inked, the path forward is marked by a willingness to find common ground, a testament to Eswatini’s evolving culture of negotiation and accountability.
