MBABANE – SEDCO joined hands with the Sithobela Inkhundla Member of Parliament and the Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC) to commemorate Sithobela Youth Day 2025 under the powerful theme, “The Youth is Our Greatest Weapon.”

The event brought together hundreds of young people for inspiring conversations and practical sessions aimed at unlocking their full potential. SEDCO played an active role in equipping the youth with tools and knowledge to shape a brighter and more productive future.

The day featured interactive sessions on Education, Business and Employment, as well as Talent and Sports. During the education segment, speakers highlighted the importance of continuous learning formal, vocational, and digital, as a foundation for personal and national development.

SEDCO’s Business Incubation Unit took centre stage during the business and employment discussion, encouraging young people to explore entrepreneurship. Staff outlined the full range of support available through SEDCO, including business training, mentorship, office space, and other development services designed to help new ventures thrive.

Participants also received guidance on how to access funding, register businesses, and develop essential financial literacy skills. Local entrepreneurs shared real-life success stories, offering encouragement and demonstrating that with the right support, dreams can be transformed into successful enterprises.

Beyond information sharing, the event created space for meaningful dialogue, motivation, and empowerment. It offered youth a sense of purpose and practical pathways to pursue opportunities in various sectors.

SEDCO reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment through enterprise. “Our mandate is to support young people to start and grow businesses,” said a SEDCO representative. “At SEDCO, business growth is our business.”

The energy and optimism at Sithobela Youth Day 2025 left a lasting impression, proving once again that when young people are equipped and inspired, they become a powerful force for change.
