MANZINI- A vibrant celebration of tradition, music, food and fashion returns this September.
SwaziRoots Entertainment has officially announced the first edition of Imvunulo Fest, a cultural and music festival set to take place on September 27, 2025. The highly anticipated event is rooted in the celebration of Eswatini’s rich traditions, combining powerful live performances, dazzling DJ sets, traditional attire and local cuisine into a proudly Swazi experience.
Powered by SwaziRoots Entertainment, Imvunulo Fest is set to become an annual highlight on Eswatini’s cultural calendar. The festival promises an electric atmosphere with a star-studded lineup that features Eswatini’s top DJs and performers, alongside rising local stars.
According to the organisers, the venue and official lineup will be announced soon, but excitement is already mounting for what is expected to be an unforgettable weekend. “We’re proud to announce this year’s festival,” said Ncamiso Anele Zwane, Director of SwaziRoots Entertainment. “This year promises to be a complete experience, from top-class music to celebrating our beautiful Swazi fashion and arts. We know people enjoy imvunulo and dancing, and we’re giving them the platform to do just that.”
Imvunulo, which traditionally refers to Swazi attire, is at the heart of the festival’s theme. Attendees are encouraged to wear traditional outfits as a way of embracing identity, heritage and national pride. Beyond the stage, festival-goers can look forward to indulging in local dishes, handcrafted art pieces, and fashion that showcases the creativity and cultural depth of Eswatini.
The organisers emphasise that the festival is not just about entertainment, but also about preserving and amplifying the core mission of celebrating Eswatini’s traditions and local expressions. “It’s a platform that says: we see you, we hear you, and we honour who we are,” Zwane added.
With ticket and venue details expected soon, fans are encouraged to stay tuned for further announcements. As September approaches, all roads will lead to Imvunulo Fest 2025, where culture comes alive through music, food, and Swazi pride.
