MBABANE– Music lovers in the Shiselweni region are in for a treat as the Umuthi Fest Activation takes over Entabeni Lodge on Saturday, 23 August 2025, from 2pm until midnight, and best of all, entry is absolutely free.

The high-energy lineup will feature some of Eswatini’s finest acts, including Zulu D, Sgitha, Tilungu, Romeo, Matamza, Proness, The Bishop, and Bandzie. The evening will be hosted by MC Sintour, with supporting performances from Zoleka, Delightsoul, and Msime.

Speaking to one of the event organisers, Samkelo Zulu, popularly known as DJ Zulu D, he explained that the activation’s main purpose is to generate excitement and raise awareness for the main Umuthi Fest event later this year.

“The purpose of the activation is to hype up the event, give awareness of the date and venue. This is the second edition, but on a different date. The activation is connected to the event because when you look at the lineup, it’s not the usual one we have at Entabeni Lodge, it’s just a glimpse of what will happen on the actual day,” said Zulu D.

He added that the activation will serve as a teaser for the main festival, which will take place on 18 October 2025 at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Manzini.

“We want to convince the people from Nhlangano that it is a promising event we are trying out. We’re going to have a good time there,” he said.

Zulu D also revealed that Umuthi Fest has potential partners lined up, alongside existing supporter Diski Bet, who will be present at the activation selling their products and services. Event organisers will also be giving away tickets to encourage more people to attend the main festival.

Most of the featured acts are signed under Mega Sounds, and the organisers are confident they will all be present to deliver unforgettable performances.

With free entry, a star-studded lineup, and the promise of more to come, the Umuthi Fest Activation at Entabeni Lodge is set to be the perfect warm-up for October’s main event.
