MBEKELWENI – Afro soul and trap artist Hapko has released her latest single, Ngasabela, on August 15, 2025, offering listeners a vibrant celebration of genuine love.
Born Temangcamane Prudence Maseko and hailing from Mbekelweni, Hapko uses the track to remind audiences that true love exists and that connecting with the right person—someone who shares the same energy and mindset—is key. The song emphasizes that love should be free from violence and misunderstanding, aiming to restore faith in affectionate, healthy relationships.
“Ngasabela” features an addictive blend of traditional instruments and contemporary Western elements, creating a rhythm that is both enjoyable and danceable. Hapko explained that the combination of drums and melody perfectly captured her vision, making the songwriting and recording processes seamless and inspiring.
The song also tackles the darker misconceptions surrounding love in today’s society, where aggression and misunderstanding often dominate relationships. Hapko said her single is meant to challenge these negative narratives and encourage listeners to believe in love’s positive, transformative power.
Produced in collaboration with TN$ Savvy, who crafted the beat and handled mixing and mastering, Ngasabela combines catchy melodies with a meaningful message. The single is now available on all major digital platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
Hapko’s rise in the music scene has been swift. Following her electrifying performance at the MTN Bushfire 2025 festival, where she captivated audiences with her dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals, she is emerging as a leading voice in Afro soul and trap music.
With Ngasabela, Hapko delivers more than just a song—it’s a heartfelt reminder that love, when nurtured and understood, can be both pure and life-affirming.
