SITEKI- Rising Siteki-born rapper continues to make waves in hip-hop.
Young, bold, and lyrically gifted, Nkosinathi Magagula, known in the music scene as Nugget$Dablxck Shepherd, is gearing up to release his highly anticipated remake titled “Family Anthem.” The track, featuring Ithambo and produced by Ithambo himself, is scheduled to drop this November.
Born and raised in Siteki (KaLanga), now based in Mbabane, Nugget$Dablxck is carving his own golden path in the local hip-hop scene. His stage name carries deep meaning, “Nugget” represents a piece of gold, symbolizing his desire to be the golden child in his family, while “Blxck Shepherd” signifies his role as a guide in the rap game. “Everyone calls themselves GOATs, but I’m the Shepherd, they need guidance,” he explained.
Nugget$Dablxck’s musical journey began in 2017, inspired by American rap icons like Eminem and Rick Ross, and later by African stars such as Polo G, the late ProKid, Cassper Nyovest, and Emtee. Despite having no one directly motivate him, he says his talent spoke for itself, and he’s been nurturing it ever since.

A versatile artist who dabbles in multiple sounds, Nugget$Dablxck leans heavily toward hip-hop. His 2023 remix of Blxckie’s “Hhayi Ngeke”, produced by Boikid at Final Episodes Records, turned heads for its confident delivery, lyrical depth, and fresh energy. “That track was about showing my flows, bars, and unique style,” he said.
Unlike “Hhayi Ngeke,” which he describes as “a vibe for the trap lovers,” Family Anthem promises a more meaningful message. True to his style, Nugget$Dablxck uses his music to tell stories and share real-life lessons that resonate with his listeners.
Having already performed at The Return of Hip Hop Festival, The Rap Battle Shop, and various schools and bus ranks, the young rapper continues to expand his footprint in Eswatini’s growing hip-hop culture. Looking ahead, he hopes to collaborate with local and regional heavyweights such as The Qwellers, Grixxly, Blxckie, Nasty C, and Sjava.
With Family Anthem on the horizon, Nugget$Dablxck Shepherd is proving that he’s not just another rapper, he’s the shepherd guiding the new wave of hip-hop in Eswatini.
