MBABANE Get ready for some soul-stirring sounds as SamTone is set to drop his much-anticipated debut single, Cry of My Heart, this Friday, 17 October 2025, across all digital platforms under New Life Records.

The track, produced by local talent Slotta (Nicholas Dlamini), captures deep emotion and passion through its heartfelt lyrics and rich vocal delivery. SamTone revealed that the title “Cry of My Heart” came naturally during the writing process. “The name just fit the sound and story the music was telling,” he explained.

Born Samukelo Magongo and raised in the Manzini region, SamTone’s musical journey began in 2012 when he first performed at his local church during a Christmas Carol event. That performance, he says, sparked his love for music and live performance. Since then, the soulful vocalist has spent nearly a decade captivating audiences as a cover artist, performing at top local venues such as Hilton Garden Inn, Happy Valley Hotel, Summerfields Hotel, The Gorge Hotel, and The Royal Villas Hotel.

SamTone has also graced big stages, including MTN Bushfire Festival, where he shared the stage with Sands (Sandziso Matsebula) and Umuti (Muzi Ngwenya), formerly known as Mozaik. He has also served as a backing vocalist for artists such as Zamo (Nomzamo Dlamini) at various live shows.

Though releasing under New Life Records, SamTone clarified that he is not officially signed to the label but is working with them through a publishing agreement. “I haven’t worked with anyone yet apart from a few unreleased songs, including one with Eswatini’s DJ Cup (Zama Maseko),” he added.

Looking ahead, the singer expressed his desire to collaborate with Msimisi Sithole, one of Eswatini’s most respected vocalists. Fans can catch his next live performance at the University of Eswatini on 31 October 2025.

Now stepping into a new chapter of his career, SamTone is venturing into original music, blending soulful vocals, heartfelt storytelling, and years of live experience to create a sound that is authentic and distinctly his own.
