MBABANE- In a bustling city where duty met dedication, a police officer and a teacher found their worlds intertwining.
On a seemingly ordinary day, Angie Dlamini, a dedicated police officer stationed at Zakhele Police Camp, was taking a taxi from Manzini bus rank to Two Ticks. It was a half-day Saturday, and instead of waiting for her friend’s ride, she decided to take a taxi home. That’s when fate intervened. A kind stranger, Bhekithemba LaNgwenya, a teacher, noticed her and offered to pay her fare of E10. Although Angie initially refused, she gave him her number after some persistence. This small act sparked the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Later, while on patrol in town, Angie encountered a handsome man who looked familiar—it was Bhekithemba. He boldly told her he didn’t want to be just a friend but a husband. Angie laughed it off, thinking it was just typical talk, but his sincerity shone through. Over time, through calls and chats, Bhekithemba spoke about traditional customs like emalobolo, showing he was a genuine Christian man with serious intentions. Angie, who once vowed she wouldn’t marry until she met someone like her late father, found in Bhekithemba the calm and loving nature she had prayed for.
Their love blossomed quickly, and on August 31st, 2025, Bhekithemba traveled to Nhlangano, Angie’s hometown, to formally begin the emalobolo process by bringing cattle as part of the traditional bride price. This day marked their official engagement, celebrated warmly with family and friends at Angie’s home. The promise to complete the emalobolo soon was a symbol of their commitment and respect for tradition
The couple chose a stunning venue for their wedding—the Rehoboth Mountain Suites in eZulwini, a place known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. On October 25th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, Angie and Bhekithemba exchanged vows in a ceremony filled with love and cultural richness. The wedding colors were elegant shades of nude, complementing the natural beauty of the mountain setting.
