SITEKI – As the final sun of 2025 dips below the horizon, all eyes are on the award-winning sensation Mthunzi, who is set to lead the charge for the most anticipated crossover event in the Lubombo region.
The “Fireworks In The Bush” bash is taking over the lush grounds of Stush In The Bush on December 31st, bringing a high-octane blend of South African star power and Eswatini’s finest talent to the heart of the wild.
The venue has already established a reputation for attracting heavyweights, having recently played host to the “Inkabi” himself, Big Zulu, for its official launch on December 20, 2025. Now, the torch is passed to Mthunzi, a man whose voice has become synonymous with the spiritual and rhythmic pulse of modern African music.
He arrives at a time when his career is reaching a fever pitch, fresh from a year of dominating airwaves and sweeping major accolades. This epic bash is designed as a 24-hour marathon, beginning at high noon on New Year’s Eve and pushing straight through the night until midday on January 1st.
Njabulo Mthunzi Ndimande, known mononymously as Mthunzi, is far from an overnight success. Born and raised in Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal, his musical journey was sparked at the tender age of three when his mother first recognized his vocal gift. Growing up in a community still healing from historical scars, music became his sanctuary and eventually his ticket to the world stage.
Mthunzi’s sound is a sophisticated tapestry. He is a “repository” of South African tradition, famously weaving the shivery falsetto of Maskandi into modern R&B and the heavy basslines of Amapiano. His breakthrough came after a leap of faith in 2018 when he moved to Johannesburg to work with the legendary Sun-El Musician.
This partnership birthed the acclaimed album Selimathunzi, a project that proved he could hold his own alongside giants like Simmy and Ami Faku. However, it was his 2024 collaboration with Kabza De Small on the hit “Imithandazo” that truly cemented his status as a titan, earning him four Metro FM Awards, including Song of the Year.
The visual theme for the night is “Army,” a call for patrons to dress in tactical and camouflage gear, symbolizing a unified march into the new year. Beyond the headliner, the stage will feature a relentless rotation of talent to ensure the energy never wavers as the clock strikes midnight.
The full lineup includes:

For those seeking a more immersive experience, the venue is offering tiered camping packages. From single-night stays to full weekend retreats—complete with breakfast—the options cater to both the rugged adventurer and the luxury seeker. Notably, those who bring their own camping gear are granted free space on the grounds, fostering a true community atmosphere for this massive bash.
As the fireworks light up the Lubombo sky this December 31st, it will be Mthunzi’s voice providing the soundtrack to a new beginning at the ultimate bush bash.
